Check the reader or checkout first
You can use Apple Pay where the restaurant’s payment terminal supports it, or where Apple Pay is offered at online checkout. We could not confirm a current nationwide Wendy’s statement covering every US restaurant and ordering channel. Ask your location before relying on your phone alone.
Paying at the counter or drive-thru
- Look for the contactless or Apple Pay symbol and tell the cashier you want to tap to pay.
- Open your card in Apple Wallet and authenticate.
- Hold your iPhone or Apple Watch near the reader, then wait for confirmation.
These are Apple’s general payment steps; see Apple’s Apple Pay instructions. At the drive-thru, ask the employee how to reach the reader.
Using the Wendy’s app
Select your restaurant and order method, build your order, then inspect the payment choices. If an Apple Pay button appears, select it and confirm the purchase. If it does not, use one of the payment methods displayed or ask the restaurant. Saving a card in an app is different from paying through Apple Pay.
Does scanning the rewards code pay for the food?
Do not assume so. Confirm both the offer and the payment in your order summary. Wendy’s explains its ordering and rewards process in its official app guide.
